Helen provides supervision for counsellors and psychotherapists, both on a 1-2-1 basis and in groups*. She is happy to meet with supervisees weekly, fortnightly or monthly depending on caseload and accreditation needs.
Helen has worked in higher education for 30 years and currently teaches on counselling and psychotherapy courses at post-graduate level. Along with her coaching expertise, this experience leaves her well-equipped to offer mentorship for your therapy work.
A Gestalt psychotherapist, Helen is also an experienced practitioner and teacher across the Humanistic paradigm and thus offers supervision of Gestalt, Person-Centred and Transactional Analysis approaches. Therapists wishing to develop an embodied approach to their work, use the Buddhist teachings and practices, or help their clients integrate a spiritual dimension to the therapeutic journey may find particular benefit from working with Helen.
Helen resonates with Robin Shohet's wish - to help other’s flourish in their work. She is also influenced by Gaie Houston’s approach to supevision, especially how she considers three aspects to supervision, namely Policing, Plumbing and Poetry (see sidebar).
